Capture the beauty of glass and reflections in this guided watercolor class! Using a provided reference photo, you’ll learn how to master transparency, light, and intricate details as we paint step by step together. This workshop will focus on layering techniques, controlling water and pigment, and creating the illusion of reflective surfaces. Whether you're new to watercolor or looking to refine your skills, this class will give you the tools to confidently approach complex, realistic subjects. Leave with a stunning finished piece and new techniques to elevate your watercolor practice!

SUPPLIES INSTRUCTOR WILL PROVIDE

Reference photo

brush soap

SUPPLIES TO BRING

9x12 Arches watercolor paper (Must be Arches for intended results)

Scrap watercolor paper

Masking fluid (Very important!)

Watercolor palette

Watercolor brushes – 0, 2, 4, 8, 12 round (instructor recommends Princeton & Co.)

Watercolor paint (instructor recommends Daniel Smith or Winsor & Newton) – mix of warm and cool primaries and neutrals)

Sketch book

Pencils in various hardness, with at least one 2H

Kneaded eraser

Paper towels

Water cup or jar
